Travel to Jamaica

Jamaica in the Caribbean is one of the most beautiful island countries and if you are planning to visit this paradise, you need to plan well in advance. It is important to find out all the information you can about the place so that you truly enjoy your vacation and it always remains as an unforgettable and a memorable experience. But before you do that, there are a couple of aspects that you need to look into such as general information on Jamaica, accommodation options and how to get there etc.

Once you have zeroed in on Jamaica, you would need to concentrate on learning a little about the country so that you are better equipped on their culture, surroundings, climate etc. Invariably a number of resources online as well as travel guide and travel books available offline serve as resources for learning about the country. Which time of the year to travel is also important because obviously you would not like to land in Jamaica and allow your holiday to be hampered by seasonal differences.

The good news is that Jamaica is literally an all year destination owing to its tropical maritime climate. Winter months are usually warm during day and pleasant at night while the summer months are really hot. The rainy season usually begins in May and continues up to November. Usually heavy downpours are expected in the months of September and October and, therefore, it is best to avoid these months.

The Jamaican culture is quite a potpourri of cultures and besides African and English, to quite an extent indelible influence of Asian and Middle Eastern regions can also be found. English is widely spoken in most of the major tourist attractions.

Where traveling to Jamaica is concerned, the positive fact is that it has direct service from many countries. Usually a flight from New York to Kingston or Montego Bay takes about 4 hours, while from London and Paris it is about seven hours. To save money on flights it is better you book a round-trip ticket and well in advance. While Montego Bay and Kingston have the largest airports and receive international flights, there are many small airports too that service local flights. If you like to travel in luxury and style you can even choose to opt for a cruise liner such as the Carnival, Celebrity, Costa and Royal Caribbean.

Once your travel plans are taken care of, accommodation should be the next big thing on your agenda. Though Jamaica has plenty of hotels and resorts, another great option is the vacation rental homes. These quaint and charming Jamaican rentals seem to be a popular choice of accommodation for most travelers seeking luxury, comfort and privacy.

Since they are well equipped with all the services and comforts that one expects from a luxurious hotel therefore, they are more popular and even well accepted by all kinds of travelers. The Silver Sands Villas are an ideal abode when away from home in Jamaica. Available in a choice of 2, 3, 4 or more bedrooms, these Jamaica rentals give you the luxury to plan your holiday according to your preferences.

The Gardens of Wales

Wales, with its ancient principalities, contains within its borders, several ranges of mountains, tumbling rivers, deep still lakes and shores of pristine beauty. Amidst all of these beautiful locals are gardens set to take advantage of their physical locations. There are many castles with their majestic gardens. Woodland gardens hug the hills with streams slipping through them like liquid crystal. Bridges stretch across, connecting their banks giving visitors spectacular views below. Mediterranean gardens brim with sun worshiping plants and vivid wildflowers. Bees, butterflies, birds and dragonflies attend the flowers and waters of these beautiful lands. There are even topiary gardens where well pruned foliage bear witness to the loving hands that tend to them, keeping then in perfect symmetry and order.

Aberglasney Gardens is a land that is lost in time. This beautiful landscape is in the process of restoration. It features a yew tunnel that was planted some time in the 18th century. Majestic yew stretch their giant limbs above your head giving you a full umbrella of beautiful foliage. The garden also features a cloister garden parapet, which allows you to take a stroll along the top of the wall, while being treated to spectacular views of the gardens below. Jacobean garden structures have survived the test of time in this garden, where they have all but disappeared elsewhere. You can explore this ancient formal garden, complete with pools, parapets, arches and arcades.

Cae Hir Gardens is a fairly recent creation, it includes red, yellow and blue, filling your eyes with the beauty of one color on a multitude of different plants. The garden also features a bonsai garden and a water garden. Plenty of seating areas have been provided to give a view of not only the garden but also the valley. This garden is filled with a wide variety of the heartiest shrubbery all the way up to the most delicate of flowers. Trees also abound in this garden, lending not only beauty but a nice shady spot to relax in.

Llandover Garden covers fifteen acres including an arboretum which was created in an eighteenth century setting, including streams, canals, cascades, ponds and lawns, as well as a circular walled garden. Planting has continued almost non stop throughout the centuries. This garden boasts one of the largest collections of Magnolias in Wales. In Autumn, this garden splashes itself with color like a painter's pallet.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a world class garden where they work to conserve threatened plant species and create a really unique experience for their visitors. This garden contains the world's largest single span glass house. It also contains one of the longest foliage borders.

Wales is dotted with some of the most beautiful gardens in the world, this has been a look into a very small portion of the gardens within Wales borders, just waiting for you to explore them.

Washington DC For Fun, Facts and Family

A Washington DC family vacation can be great fun and educational. You'll learn all about American history by visiting the museums and government buildings and have other fun experiences as well. For example, your entire family will have a great time at the National Zoo viewing the exotic animals on display. Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!

For older children, the Smithsonian Museum is an inspiring and unbeatable educational value. You'll see the Spirit of St. Louis, the first plane to cross the Atlantic, and the capsule that carried John Glenn into orbit around the earth. They'll love holding an actual moon rock brought back by the first astronauts to set foot on the moon.

The Declaration of Independence is on display at the Museum of American History, and for the kids, the stuffed and mounted horse Comanche, the only survivor of the Battle of Little Big Horn. Colonel George Custer made his famous last stand there and entered the annals of American history.

The Mall is just a short walk away in the shadow of the Washington Monument. That's also where you can visit the memorial to Abraham Lincoln, our most revered president. The Lincoln Memorial houses a massive statue of the seated Lincoln that has inspired countless visitors.

You'll enjoy watching the kids play around the Reflecting Pool. A short walk away is the beautiful Jefferson Memorial. Also close by is the inspiring Viet Nam Veterans Memorial where the names of all those who lost their lives in Viet Nam are inscribed. It can be an emotional moment for those who lived through that war.

The Metro system is one of the best and cleanest public transportation systems in the world. You can take it anywhere in the city. Take it to Pennsylvania Avenue and you'll see the White House where the President and the First Family live and conduct the nation's business.

A walk Capitol Hill might allow you to visit your representative, provided Congress is in session. You might also choose to watch the senate and your state senator in action. The Metro will also take you to Ford's Theater, where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

Then, if you're driving, take a trip up Massachusetts Avenue to Embassy Row, where the various embassies proudly fly their nation's flag. A short drive will also take you to Georgetown where you can shop at trendy boutiques, dine in any number of ethnic restaurants and enjoy an evening of music in one of the great clubs that abound in this area near the University.

A trip to nearby Arlington, Virginia is a must. There you'll see National Cemetery, which was built on land seized by the Union during the Civil War. The land was originally owned by the family of the famous Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

All in all, a Washington DC family vacation will leave an impression on every member of the family. Some may experience a resurgence of National pride, awe at what this nation has accomplished, or just an understanding of the different parts of our Government.

Bourgas - The Fourth Largest City in Bulgaria

Bourgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria, situated in the south-eastern part of the country. The climate here is temperately continental with a distinct impact from the Black Sea. The town is an industrial centre too. It's not famous as a beach resort (although few beaches you can find), but more as a turning point to the big southern Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria like Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sozopol, Dyuni, Elenite, etc. The Airport of Bourgas is the one where the international flights land in the summer.

Chardham Yatra

One teaching around which all the faiths base their preaching is tranquility of mind, body and spirit. From the ancient times both man and divinity have just one prayer - Peace - for the alive and the dead. The Char Dham, also known as the Deo Bhumi - The dwelling of the Gods - provides just the environment where the God & the transcendent coexist.

The Sacred Himalayas:
The Himalayas - the planets most imposing & highest mountain chain, is the universal legacy of all mankind. The inspirational quality of this "dwelling of Snows' has, since ancient times, motivated the sages & saints of our country and has fascinated travelers & pilgrims from all around the world for its breathtaking attractiveness & tranquil stillness. The four dhams obtain holy water in the shape of four rivers - Yamuna, Bhagirathi, Mandakini and Alaknanda.

Sri Badrinath Dham

The path to Badrinath is one of the very grueling one owing to the haughty mountainous topography, bends and cliffs. It is the most amazing and fine-looking place on this entire earth.......More

Sri Kedarnath Dham
Kedarnath is one of the very popular pilgrimages for the religious Hindu and is positioned in the Uttaranchal state of India. Kedarnath, where a shape of the Lord Shiva is respected as one of the twelve jyotirling, is one of the four sites in India's pilgrimage Char Dham. More

Yamunotri Pilgrimage
Yamunotri, the starting place of the Yamuna River and the place of the goddess Yamuna, is also considered to be one of the four sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage. The holy place of Yamunotri is on the left bank and was initially built by Maharaj Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. The place of pilgrimage of Yamunotri is one of the "four dhams" of Uttaranchal. Yamunotri shrine is positioned in the way opposed to Gangotri and the road divides and goes to Yamunotri from Dharasu, a position connecting Rishikesh - Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Pilgrimage
Gangotri, the pleasing pilgrimage in the lap of the Himalayas is the most blessed destination where Ganga, the river of life, feels the ground for the first time.

Located at 99 km from Uttrarkashi, at an altitude of 3140 meters, this shrine is dedicated to the Goddess and was constructed nearly 250 years ago by Amar Bahadur Thapa, the Gorkha Commande.

Gay Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale

Beautiful, white sandy beaches, a warm blue ocean and sunshine are what make Ft. Lauderdale an idyllic vacation spot at any time of the year. Located on Florida's east coast, even the hottest days are tempered by gentle breezes coming from the Atlantic ocean.

Recently Ft. Lauderdale has grown in popularity as a GLBT vacation destination and is now recognized worldwide as a gay-friendly resort. There are several hundred gay-owned and operated businesses providing a multitude of options for the gay traveler. With a host of bed and breakfasts, resorts, bars, clubs, restaurants and shops this ocean city has become renowned as a gay mecca separate from its neighbors Miami, South Beach and Key West. From the blue waves and white surf of the beaches, to the Florida Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale offers sea, sun, shopping, arts and entertainment for the discriminating gay vacationer.

Just a short walk from the ocean is a vast network of canals and marinas which has earned Ft. Lauderdale the nickname the Venice of America. Here you will find spectacular millionaires' homes with sprawling lawns down to the waterfront and yachts which are floating homes just waiting to venture out onto the open seas. The water taxi is transportation for the locals, which also provides a canal tour with a glimpse at the lifestyles of the rich and famous. For just five dollars you can ride all day from one end of the canal system to the other, with plenty of sights to see and visit along the way. There are no gondolas here, but it is worth planning a whole day to tour these canals, or just use the water taxi as a means to go for dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

Between the ocean and the canals is where you will find a community rich with gay guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and resorts. This is the perfect neighborhood to stay in and be close to everything the city has to offer. Although the bars, nightclubs and restaurants are close by, a rental car is a must. They are very affordable and can be rented at the airport or through your hotel concierge and they make it very easy to move around and visit the many attractions available to the gay traveler.

Located three blocks from the ocean and a short walk to the gay beach is the Flamingo Inn Amongst the Flowers, a European style boutique hotel with tropical island luxury. We highly recommend this affordable and upscale gay resort as a perfect home base to enjoy all that Ft. Lauderdale has to offer. Every room and suite has been recently remodeled and renovated with comfortable four poster beds and modern bathrooms. The courtyard includes splashing fountains, a large swimming pool and comfortable deck chairs with sun shades for the very hottest time of the day. Enjoy a relaxing massage poolside, simply bask in the sun, or enjoy a good book in this tranquil retreat. The full bar Happy Hour, complete concierge services and ample parking are added benefits. Perhaps the greatest amenity that the Flamingo has to offer is the friendly and helpful staff who will ensure that you have everything you need for the perfect vacation and provide all the requisite knowledge about the local community. The Flamingo Inn strives for and achieves perfection in gay accommodations.

Located about a ten minute drive from the beaches is the township of Wilton Manors, which is the gay community of Ft. Lauderdale akin to Greenwich Village in New York. Home to over forty gay businesses and sparked by the highly successful George's Alibi video bar and cafe, Wilton Manors has everything to offer in shopping and entertainment. After your first visit you will probably find yourself returning to try the different restaurants and bars as part of your evening pleasure. Dorothy's Cafe, Hamburger Mary's, Chardees,Tropics and Simply Delish are just a few of the cuisine options that are sure to please in this quaint and charming gay-friendly southern Florida community. Shopping in Wilton Manors also offers plenty of variety at Bottoms and Tops, Gay Mart, Miguel's, Zoo Two 4 Shoes and Zoo Two Clothing Company just to name a few of the fun boutiques. A trip to Ft. Lauderdale is not complete without some time enjoying the village of Wilton Manors for a gay community experience.

Without a doubt, Ft. Lauderdale is best known for its beautiful white sand beach with the calm, clear blue ocean which stretches for miles. Not surprisingly, with a large gay resident and tourist population there are three recognized gay beaches. These can be found in the north, at 18th Street, centrally located at Sebastion Street, and in the south at Dania Beach, with the central beach probably being the most popular and close to most of the gay accommodations. These gay areas are easily identified by the rainbow umbrella sun shades and the sunbathers they attract. With beach volleyball and other ball games, people-watching in these areas can be a most enjoyable way to pass a hot sunny afternoon with cool dips in the ocean when it gets too hot. There are also plenty of cafes overlooking the beach with spectacular views to enjoy when food becomes a priority. This makes for the idyllic part of any well-earned vacation.

The Florida climate affords year-round vacations, but spring is probably the most temperate and popular time of year to visit. The Ft. Lauderdale Pridefest takes place in March and claims to be the largest Pride celebration in Florida. With entertainers and events, this weekend is planned for residents and tourists alike to show their pride. The Gay Rodeo is also a big attraction. In addition to rodeo events at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds in Davie (just outside of Ft. Lauderdale), there will be a Country and Western Dance, Pool Party,Wilton Manors Nightlife Tour and a Southernmost Hoedown in Ft. Lauderdale. For anyone who has experienced a gay rodeo, this is certain to be a popular gathering on the IGRA circuit.

Finding your way around is easy with either a Columbia Fun Map or the local publication Hotspots! Both are readily available, handy-sized reference guides for everything that's gay in this Florida beach paradise. There is also a very comprehensive service called The Naked Concierge which bares the truth about Ft. Lauderdale's gay community and is the travel information source for preparation of the perfect escape to the sun and surf before you leave home.

Getting there is easy with airlines offering direct flights from Canada's major cities and connecting flights from smaller airports. Rest assured, your flight from the north will be rewarded with southern Florida's gay welcome, which is second to none!

Bulgarian Property - Market Update 17 March 2006

Brits moving permanently to Bulgaria

It has been reported that many Brits are falling for Bulgaria 's charms with a growing number choosing to move there permanently. In recent years investment has been the main driving force behind the number of Brits buying property in the country but many have decided to buy and live outside the Sunny Beach area and a few miles inland as well as other village areas around the country.

There are a number of factors for those choosing to move but the low cost of living and the seemingly peaceful surrounds are the most likely reasons so many Brits are making the move. Many have also been able to rent out there properties back in the UK , and live very comfortably off the rental income in Bulgaria .

As more companies relocate to Bulgaria to take advantage of the low wages and to strategically place themselves for the countries' expected accession to the EU in 2007, many British employees are expected to relocate with their employers. Tourist areas have seen recent year-on-year growth of between 25% up to as much as 100% however those opting to live in to move permanently prefer to be based inland.

Many Brits are buying around the Veliko Turnovo region with home prices starting as low as GBP 10,000. There are still cheaper homes available however many will require additional funds to provide for renovations. The move is been made by both retirees who find they can make their pension stretch a lot further and younger people looking for new business opportunities and finding it difficult to get on the property ladder in the UK.

EU Final word on Bulgaria to be known soon

Oli Rehn, European Enlargement Commissioner is soon expected to present his report on Bulgaria Romania's accession to the EU in January 2007. It is generally believed that the planned memberships will go ahead however the accession treaty does contain a safeguard clause allowing membership to be postponed by one year if further reforms in each country are deemed necessary.

Maui Activities - Get Help From a Tour Operator For a Perfect Hawaiian Vacation

Whether you are looking for a perfect getaway to spend a relaxing moment with your family or craving for a new level of outdoor adventure, your Maui tour operator is sure to take you to an amazing trip around Maui, Hawaii. Maui's breathtaking landscapes are an excellent venue for different Maui activities that everyone can enjoy at reasonable prices.

Maui offers a diverse range of fun-filled activities by air, water or land.

If you opt for an air adventure, a number of helicopter tours on different areas of Hawaii offer a memorable sky experience. The Haleakala - Hana ride is a 45-minute Helicopter tour that offers a panoramic view of the spectacular Maui waterfalls, the Hana tropical rainforest, and Haleakala Crater. While the rain forests provide a lush scene of greenery, the falls make a captivating picture of nature's best creation when observed at a higher altitude.

Another helicopter tour package offers the magnificent view of the Circle Island and Molokai. This 60-minute flight highlights a magnificent view of the rugged Hawaii coastlines, the world's tallest sea cliff, and unspoiled scenery you should not miss when you are in Hawaii.

For a luxurious vacation, you can seek help from tour operators. The Maui Activity Lady, for example, can help set you up in an unforgettable golf experience. Tour operators can also help set up a private helicopter flight for you, offering a spectacular view of the world's best golf courses like Wailea Golf Club, Kapalua Golf Resort and the Dunes at Maui Lani. Enjoy service at its best with a professional golf guide, a limousine transfer, and refreshments during the game, and a helicopter return.

Snorkeling also still makes an unbeatable choice for tourists. For a snorkeling package, start with a tropical continental breakfast before setting off to your underwater adventure. Destinations include the Molokini Crater and private island of Lanai and other best snorkeling sites like Kahihinui, the beautiful Coral Gardens, and the Turtle Arches. The area is home to Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins and Spinner Dolphines as well as giant green sea turtles so a school of dolphins is a usual scenery in Maui. Snorkeling packages usually include lunch, snorkels and other equipment for a five- or eight-hour adventure.

For a more intense and thrilling activity, you can indulge in parasailing 400 or 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean while being pulled by a speed boat. Your tour operator will arrange this activity for you so you will have a safe ten-minute ride with the hydraulic launch and recovery system lifts. This activity is, however, only offered from May through November.

Another activity you shouldn't miss in Maui is biking and hiking. This is one of the best ways you can have an up close view of Maui's rich landscape. For a more enjoyable tour, you can seek help from a tour operator so you can join a team of hikers, bikers and tourists.

After the day's action-packed Maui activities, what more could be better than an evening under the dark tropical sky at a traditional Hawaiian luau. Witness the spectacular Samoan fire dance and a night of conventional and modern dancing and singing featuring the music of the old Hawaii, Tonga and New Zealand. Indulge in an eat-all-you-can dinner buffet of delectable Hawaiian specialties like Huli Huli chicken, Mahi Mahi fish, Kalua Pork topped with a variety of desserts.

Everquest and Platinum - Are There Other Real Uses For It?

However, if you are quite comfortable with your dependency then I and your attention starved partner, and everyone else that is around you should respect that and deal with it. What though about the financial portion of the game? After all the game play time you have invested you might just have an abundant amount of EQ plat on your hands. Is it possible to turn your platinum, into either real cash or other goodies?

You could use eBay even though the developers of Everquest have asked them to stop auctions on platinum to cash trades, or you can go to specialized site that focus strictly on this subject and then you can sell you EverQuest platinum away for some cold hard cash. If selling your platinum for real currency leaves a bad taste in your mouth then maybe you might want to think about selling your account itself. Yes the pinch of selling your beloved high level characters is horrific but when you think about it some might pay big bucks for the toon you yourself put hard hours into playing with, and then you could make another and do it again. You would be rolling in the platinum or money or whichever you chose really and it all comes from hours of playing.

Do to the fact that items and platinum can be traded in the game and also with the help of illegal online trading on websites, there have been calculations on platinum currency to real currency exchange rates. The BBC reported in 2002 showed that Everquest was the 77th richest country in the world, between Russia and Bulgaria and that the People's Republic of China and India had lower GDP per capita. By 2004, a follow-up study showed that the average GDP of each of the two million players was $2,000 (£1,087) the same as the GDP of Namibia, approximately.

Though platinum isn't everything some people are dying for that high level class but aren't willing to put the man hours or game playing into it, so they will buy or trade your high level character from you. These people how ever don't usually have the experience they should for their character, and are usually spotted and then berated by others as eBayers.

Putting up your platinum or your character really isn't the issue though, sure it's frowned upon by some, but it's your time, your money, your platinum. What the real issue is, what is your time worth to you?

Publishers should be only be the one allowed to earn money with their subscriptions that are required to play the game. The players have rightfully spent their heard earned cash purchasing the "physical game" but yet are not able to resell it if they no longer want to play? Even if the player has no right and ownership to the stuff they acquire in the game such as gold, items, or money they do have the right to charge for a service to another player for acquiring it for them. However, Bourgas itself offers lots to the visitor, and shouldn't be missed.

2. Summers in this area of Bulgaria can be very hot, and temperatures of between 30ºC and 40ºC are usual in Bourgas. If you're fed up of lukewarm wet summers in the UK, you'll find Bourgas is a refreshing change.

Do You Need an Indonesia Visa For Bali?

For those ready to go on a well-deserved holiday to Bali should know if they need an Indonesia visa. For most nationalities this can be arranged upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. The single-entry tourist visa is valid for up to 30 days though.

The following countries can arrange a single-entry tourist visa upon arrival at the visa booth; Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan Territory, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the USA.

Before you receive this single-entry Indonesia visa your passport should be valid for at least another 6 months and you have correctly filled out the embarkation/disembarkation card upon arrival. It cost US $25 for a 30-day single entry visa and US$10 for a 7-day visa.

Nationals who carry this permit are not allowed to extend or convert this visa. Every day that you stay longer until 60 days will cost USD $20 and after these 60 days it will cost 25.000.000 rupiah or a 5 years prison sentence. If you want to stay longer your best option is to buy a return ticket to Singapore.

You then go through the same procedure of a single-entry tourist visa upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

There are even nationalities who don't need an Indonesia visa at all. They'll receive a visa free permit. Here is a small list of those countries; Nationals from Chile, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Peru, Macao, Morocco, Brunei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam don't need the 30-day visa for staying in Bali. They are issued a maximum 30-day visa free permit.

This visa is also not extendable or convertible into another form of Indonesia visa. For this visa free permit count the same rules as for those holding a single-entry visa. Every day that you stay longer until 60 days will cost USD $20 and after these 60 days it will cost 25.000.000 rupiah or a 5 years prison sentence.

When you have come at the end of your holiday on Bali the airport charges tax of 150.000 Indonesian rupiah. When you take a domestic flight you'll pay 30.000 Indonesian rupiah.
